Entry into force of the Pact

Update Explained
The European Pact on Asylum and Migration has officially come into force, leading to significant changes in the asylum procedures managed by the CGRS (Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons). This includes new rules regarding audio recordings of personal interviews and added responsibilities in age assessment. Although the Pact is now in effect, due to delays in national legislation, existing deadlines and processes may still apply temporarily until subsequent laws and decrees are enacted. Updated brochures reflecting these changes are available, including those developed by the European Union Agency for Asylum, tailored for all EU member states but customized for national contexts. Brochures for certain topics, particularly for beneficiaries of international protection, are still produced by the CGRS only when not available from the EUAA. The range of languages for these brochures is expanding, although not all languages are currently offered.
